Finding the right solution for transporting students who require additional support can be challenging – but it doesn’t have to be.
Kidsafe Victoria’s ‘Transporting children safely’ Education Session gives your support team the confidence and skills to identify safe, appropriate solutions for every student you work with.
This 2-hour, hands-on workshop includes a 40-minute presentation followed by a practical demonstration, where participants learn how to correctly select, install, fit and adjust child car restraints.
Along with Australian standard restraints, attendees will also learn how to use a selection of postural and behavioural support harnesses for students with disabilities or medical conditions to enable them to travel safely within the school environment.
Kidsafe Victoria also offers the nationally accredited 52862WA Course in Type 1 Child Restraint Fitting, which allows you to perform child car restraint fitting and checking services as well as provide advice.
