FIRST AID COURSES

Infants are not able to control their own sleeping environment – they are reliant on adults to help keep them safe.

We are excited to collaborate with Emergcare to deliver an innovative program that provides parents and carers with essential skills and knowledge around injury prevention, paediatric first aid training. One of the programs also includes a component from the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE) with evidence-based perinatal mental health education and resources.

AVAILABLE COURSES

(For new & expectant parents)

Perinatal First Aid is a 4 hour educational training program designed specifically for new and expectant parents and carers and is delivered in partnership with the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE).

Participants are guided through an interactive paediatric first aid training session which incorporates practical injury prevention education and strategies, how to perform CPR and manage some of the most common child first aid emergencies.

This is followed by evidence-based perinatal mental health education to support parents’ mental health and emotional wellbeing throughout this period.
